Flea Markets & More Mirrors...

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I went flea-merketing today with SH (one of my bff's) and found nary an oversized mirror. It made me sad, but inspired me to share more images of what I am looking for. And I don't want to hear that I can only have one of these if I spend $5000 or more! I actually found one on Craigslist a few weeks ago for $450, but by the time I called about it, it was gone.
Keep your eyes and ears open for me, people!
And, remarkably, I found a bench that looked like this today on my flea-spree but it had really ugly fabric on it. It was $250. and would look FAB with a zebra hide in lieu of said fabric. I may have to go back and get it.

Look how gorgeous!!

Even though I didn't discover the type of mirror I'm coveting, I found lots of other goodies. I collect all kinds of furnishings and art...my biggest weakness is chairs (especially pairs of them)...and I use them in client projects or my own home. I am very careful not to over-spend, because every piece I purchase usually requires tweaking. That can add up fast. Did I mention I'm pretty cost conscious?? Anyway, I'll show you pics of my finds every now and then, and you can let me know your thoughts!

For example, I found these at Goodwill. No lie. $25 for the pair!! I haven't figured out what to do with them yet, but I can assure you they will be lacquered and reupholstered. The options are endless, and I need some time to wrap my brain around my ideas. Any suggestions?...

My "Go-To" Daily Style

I live in jeans but like to dress them up or down depending on my mood. I'm a shorty, so I usually wear high heels or wedges, but  these Prada driving shoes are perfect for running around town. Right now, I'm into nude tones, creams and matte gold. Gotta wear my big Givenchy sunglasses every day. Trying to avoid wrinkles...

Giant Oversized Mirrors...

I'm decorating my Atlanta loft, and a lot of my initial blogs will probably focus on that. I hope they don't bore you. I'm absolutely loving the super-clean, all white palette with a mixture of modern and opulent, traditional elements. Eventually, I want to install reclaimed wood floors, but it's not my priority right now. Picture white slipcovered furniture, pale cowhides, modern Lucite and chrome tables mixed with raw woods and touches of gold gilding. I'm also loving patinaed mirror finishes. I guess it's all pretty current design right now, but even with my twenty years of residential design experience, I've always been a sucker for whatever the current trend is. Just a glimpse into my constantly visualizing mind. Soon I will share "before" and "after" photos. Hope you like!
This is what I'm searching for right now...a BIG, oversized mirror. Something old.

Gotta have this mirror...and Lucite end tables. Nesting, preferably.

This mirror would do too. Why is it so hard for me to find one that doesn't cost 10 trillion dollars? Oh, and by the way, you'll find that even though money isn't much of an object in my world, I am a BIG-time-bargain-hunting-freak...Help me find the perfect mirror, please!!!   - XOXO, Fitzie
